About the opportunity We're seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join a high-throughput food processing facility.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established, 15+ person quality team, working across a busy, multi-area production site with a strong continuous-improvement culture.
Reports to: Quality Assurance Team Leader Employment type: Full-time, permanent Working hours: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours/week, across a six-day production roster.
Start times rotate on a two-week cycle depending on production area (early starts are included), with five consecutive days off (including the weekend) every second week.
About the role You'll be responsible for daily process monitoring across multiple production areas - covering hygiene, micro testing and positive manufacturing practices.
This includes hands-on pre-operational checks and maintaining accurate daily records through the site's quality management system.
You'll play a key role in identifying and escalating non-conformances, supporting corrective actions, and assisting with both internal and external audits - including government and customer audits.
The role is genuinely cross-functional, liaising closely with operations, engineering, loadout and relevant external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities Conduct daily process and hygiene monitoring across all production areas Complete pre-operational checks and maintain accurate quality records Record,



escalate and support corrective action for non-conformances Support internal and external audits, including government and customer audits Liaise cross-functionally with operations, engineering and other departments Assist with sanitation oversight of the site's cleaning function Apply relevant food safety and quality standards consistently across inspections About you You bring prior QA experience in food manufacturing, ideally within a meat processing or similar high-compliance environment, along with the confidence to hold your ground respectfully with experienced, long-tenured operators.
You're a proactive communicator who can coach, influence and enforce standards without being confrontational.
You will ideally have: Prior QA experience in food manufacturing - meat industry and primary food processing experience preferred Working knowledge of food safety standards such as BRC and HACCP Comfort with hygiene monitoring, non-conformance handling and basic audit processes Confident, strong communication skills, with the ability to work with tenured operational staff Willingness to work rotating early-start shifts across a six-day roster Why this role Broad, hands-on exposure across multiple production areas and audit types Join a well-resourced, continuous-improvement-focused quality team Genuine scope to build technical and leadership capability over time Work within a structured, supportive team environment How to apply Contact Arah Ko at ************ or via email at ******
