We are in search for an experienced Design Manager or Senior Creative Services Advisor who is looking for an impactful short-term contract?
A major Victorian Public Sector department is seeking a high-calibre creative professional to step into an 8-week contract providing cover for their creative services function.
You will have the skill to hit the ground running, taking ownership of active projects, upholding brand integrity, and coordinating external creative suppliers across print and digital channels.
This is a project focused on operational leadership, brand guardianship, and high-priority delivery—including key corporate assets like the Annual Report.
Key Responsibilities Project Continuity: Pick up and manage existing design, branding, and signage projects already in progress with zero disruption to timelines.
Agency Management: Act as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers (graphic design, photography, video agencies), managing briefs and deliverables.
Brand Custodianship: Maintain guardianship of the organisation's visual identity across all assets,



ensuring strict compliance with brand guidelines and WCAG accessibility standards.
Internal Consultation: Provide expert branding and design advice to internal teams to ensure consistent organisational communications.
What We're Looking For Proven Background: Demonstrated experience managing outsourced creative suppliers and leading large design, video, or photography projects.
Technical Toolkit: Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma , along with a solid understanding of WCAG accessibility requirements .
Brand Governance: Solid experience acting as a brand custodian within a complex setting (public sector / government experience is highly regarded).
Autonomous Organised: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
