Job description Company This builder has become the go-to company for tendered, project-managed, and design-and-construct projects throughout South Australia.
How they became this is simple: the business model is based on overheads, cost-plus contracts, and efficient, cutting-edge building techniques that keep costs low while maintaining high standards.
The owner and director have been a long-standing presence in Adelaide, leading companies and being at the forefront of complex yet exciting builds throughout SA for thirty years.
He's looking to mentor this person and bring them into Project Management over the following two projects.
Project We have a 12-storey, 150+-room commercial complex that requires a Project Coordinator.
With construction starting in April ****, the person needed would be well-versed in projects exceeding $20M, but ideally closer to this one, with experience in a comparable project or a background that includes a completed project of a similar scope.
It doesn't have to be of the same size and scope as the above; something comparable that is complex enough to avoid being overwhelming.
Background Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, preferably from South Australia, but from interstate or overseas, are also acceptable.
Proven experience in delivering commercial projects within the Australian market over the past five years.
Some experience across key project phases, including delivery, building services,
and commissioning Strong understanding of project controls and delivery methodologies Confident in coordinating large-scale commercial projects from concept to completion Professional, proactive, and solution-focused approach Strong attention to detail and a dedication to continuous improvement.
Team The team the Director and I have built for you over the past year is second to none.
Young, ambitious individuals would be well-suited to the company's future.
You will have two direct reports under you as you run this project with the Project Manager.
First, he is a Junior Project Coordinator, and second, as a graduate, he is working on his first project.
We are looking for someone who enjoys taking charge and showing initiative to guide these two construction professionals.
If you're an aspiring leader looking to become a Project Manager in two or three years, this role is ideal for you.
You'll be paid very well and likely above market rate for your current position, given that no one other than the Managing Director has any influence on package decisions.
Rest assured, you'll be well taken care of.
