About the Company Our client is a well-established Australian food and beverage manufacturer with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and operational excellence.
The business operates within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, producing products for both domestic and international markets.
With a continued focus on improving reliability, efficiency, and manufacturing performance, they are seeking a Processing Reliability Engineer to join their engineering team.
About the Role The Processing Reliability Engineer will play a key role in improving plant performance through reliability engineering, defect elimination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a hands-on role supporting processing operations, maintenance teams, and engineering projects across a large-scale manufacturing site.
Key responsibilities include: Leading reliability improvement initiatives and defect elimination activities Conducting root cause analysis investigations for equipment and process failures Developing and maintaining FMEA's, criticality rankings, and preventative maintenance strategies Optimising preventative maintenance programs to improve plant reliability Analysing performance data and translating insights into improvement actions Providing technical support and troubleshooting guidance to maintenance teams Supporting reliability-focused engineering projects and plant upgrades Reviewing downtime trends and implementing sustainable solutions Developing and improving equipment service plans, SOPs,
and maintenance standards Working with internal teams and external contractors to improve equipment performance Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across processing operations This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, solving complex technical problems, and partnering with operations and maintenance teams to improve manufacturing performance.
Skills Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: Engineering qualification with 3+ years' experience in manufacturing environments Experience within food, pharmaceutical, beverage, dairy, or other highly regulated processing industries Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and preventative maintenance strategies Experience with root cause analysis, FMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies Exposure to processing equipment, automation, and control systems Experience working within a GMP manufacturing setting Strong understanding of CMMS systems and maintenance processes Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement practical solutions Solid communication skills with the ability to build relationships across engineering, maintenance, and operations teams A proactive mindset with a passion for improving plant performance How to Apply If you're a reliability-focused engineer who enjoys improving plant performance and working within a fast-paced manufacturing setting, please apply below or contact Jack Tillig (******).
