Overview
This is not your standard paediatric OT role. At Geelong Neuro Centre Kids, we've created a clinic where Occupational Therapists can build genuine expertise in paediatric neurological rehabilitation, not simply manage a broad mixed caseload.
This role suits clinicians who value high-quality therapy, enjoy working as part of a strong team, and want to continue developing their skills in a well‐supported environment.
You'll work alongside experienced clinicians, access world‐class equipment, and have the time, structure, and support to do meaningful work.
Why this role is different
This clinic offers a true neuro‐focused workplace. Your caseload will be primarily focused on children with physical, developmental, and neurological presentations, including:
Cerebral Palsy
Developmental Delay
Muscular Dystrophy
Down Syndrome
Spina Bifida
Rare and complex neurological conditions
Collaboration and Team Environment
We have a large, experienced Occupational Therapy team of 17 clinicians, with established areas of clinical focus and specialisation.
You'll also be part of a broader multidisciplinary organisation of approximately 60 people, including:
Physiotherapy
Exercise Physiology
Speech Pathology
Podiatry
Dedicated administration and finance support teams
That means access to:
Regular joint sessions and shared learning opportunities
Genuine clinical collaboration through team meetings and daily peer support
Dedicated team spaces designed for side‐by‐side working and collaboration
Open rehab spaces and private treatment rooms alongside colleagues
Discipline‐specific mentoring that actively builds your skills
Strong operational support so clinicians can focus on clinical work
Clinical Growth

Your development here is structured, supported, and actively planned. Professional development is aligned to your goals through 12‐month and 3‐year career planning, with clear support to help you progress.
You'll have access to:
1:1 mentoring and group OT mentoring
Internal and external professional development
A dedicated PD allowance
Yearly progress and planning meetings with our Directors
A clear career progression framework
Opportunities to develop specialist skills in areas such as upper limb rehabilitation, assistive technology, and seating & positioning
Beyond Clinical Skills
We also support the non‐clinical skills needed to thrive in private practice, the areas often not taught at university.
This includes:
Understanding funding systems
Report writing
Referral relationship development
Diary management
Private practice workflows
Equipment
Our purpose‐built clinic includes:
3 large specialised rehab spaces
20 individual treatment rooms
Dedicated paediatric neurological therapy spaces
Tyromotion MYRO and DIEGO robotic therapy systems
Upper limb therapy equipment including Saebo
Electrical stimulation including Xcite2 and FES RT300 Bike
Splinting and casting services
DMI Therapy
X Sensor pressure mapping system
Advanced seating and positioning clinic
This allows you to deliver therapy that is hands‐on, intensive,

and outcomes‐focused.
Performance and Rewards
We don't measure success through outdated volume‐based billing alone. Instead, we use Clinical Excellence Indicators, recognising quality of care, clinical reasoning, collaboration, and client outcomes.
That means:
You're recognised for how you work, not just how many clients you see
Structured 4‐weekly financial rewards and feedback cycles
Clear expectations with support to meet them
A focus on quality care rather than rushed appointments
Clinicians who build strong clinical skills and consistency typically meet and exceed expectations within standard working hours.
Location and Caseload Support
You'll be based in our purpose‐built paediatric clinic, with opportunities for community and home visits where appropriate.
Our dedicated referral and intake coordinator manages onboarding and prepares clients for their first appointment, allowing you to focus on clinical care from day one.
After that, you'll take ownership of your diary with support from the broader team.
Flexibility
Flexible working arrangements that help you balance life and work include:
4‐day weeks
9‐day fortnights
Versatile structuring of your week
Career Pathways
Clinical Specialist
Stream Leader
Mentor or Supervisor
High‐performing clinician pathway
Leadership roles
Requirements
Occupation Therapist with a focus on paediatric neurological rehabilitation
Want to keep improving their craft
Curious and open to learning
Value collaboration and teamwork
Care deeply about delivering meaningful, high‐quality therapy
Want to be part of a robust and positive clinical culture
