About the Position The Cook role is central to the food service operations at 124 Tambellup Store, ensuring consistent preparation of quality meals and takeaway items that meet the needs of locals and passing customers.
The position involves hands-on kitchen work across preparation, cooking and presentation while supporting efficient daily service in a busy regional environment.
This full-time role is important for maintaining food standards, supporting the store's reputation as a go-to food and convenience destination, and contributing to smooth operations that keep customers returning.
Key Responsibilities Prepare,
cook and present a range of meals and takeaway items to consistent quality standards for dine-in and takeaway customers.
Set up and maintain the kitchen and food preparation areas to ensure readiness for service.
Follow food safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures, including completing kitchen checklists and closing duties.
Manage stock rotation, portion control and basic inventory of ingredients to minimise waste and support efficient operations.
Assist with menu items, seasonal specials or basic recipe preparation as required.
Work cooperatively with other staff to coordinate orders and maintain timely service during busy periods.
Monitor food quality and presentation throughout preparation and service.
Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Minimum 1 year of cook experience.
Strong technical skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety and kitchen hygiene; ability to work efficiently under pressure in a regional hospitality setting.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, reliability, teamwork, attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
