Protech are currently seeking Field Officers to work from the Burleigh Depot with the Fire Ant Program through Biosecurity Queensland starting on the 11/9/2026 This is an ongoing position and will require thorough and effective surveillance and treatment of insect pests through Southern Queensland.
Benefits: Long term, ongoing roles Great pay rates- $34 + per hour Able to work a 9 day fortnight – Monday to Friday, with an RDO once a fortnight Hours of work: Start times between 6:30am and 6:45am.
Finish times between 3:30pm and 3:45pm.
Uniform, PPE and vehicle during work hours provided Opportunities for career progression within the program Key Duties: Visual surveillance and bait treatment for insects across site locations Daily reporting tasks, data collection, and record keeping Customer service Operate a GPS and tablet Driving a Company vehicle Mandatory Position Requirements:



Australian open car licence – P platers may apply MUST have outdoor work experience in Landscaping, Agriculture, Arboriculture, Land Management and Conservation, Civil OR Hiking/ Bushwalking MUST be physically fit as the role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain up to *******klm per day spreading bait or conducting surveillance with a pointer poking the ground (through colder months) Ability to work in a team workplace – Teams between ***** people Face to Face customer service experience MUST be able to complete and pass a Police check , Drug screen and Physical assessment If you are interested in this role, please hit APPLY NOW
