Deputy Director – Emergency Medicine Location: Swan Hill, VIC Employment Type: Full Time or Part Time (minimum 0.5 FTE) Salary: As per EBA, including an incentivised package and accommodation support Start Date: Negotiable About the Role An exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine clinician to support the Clinical Director in the leadership, governance, and operational management of a modern regional Emergency Department.
You will provide senior clinical oversight, contribute to workforce planning, support quality and safety initiatives, and mentor junior medical staff while maintaining a clinical workload.

Key Responsibilities Support leadership and operational management of the Emergency Department.
Provide senior clinical care and supervision.
Contribute to workforce planning and medical staff support.
Promote clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement.
Support education, training, and supervision of junior clinicians.
Participate in service planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Criteria Current AHPRA registration as FACEM or FRACGP/FACRRM with advanced emergency medicine qualifications.
Demonstrated Emergency Medicine experience and clinical expertise.
Proven leadership and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills.




Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to clinical governance, education, and service improvement.
Ability to participate in evenings, weekends, and on-call rosters.
