SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – HEALTHCARE CAPITAL Property Infrastructure | Full-Time Permanent | Head Office About the Role This is a senior delivery role within a national healthcare organisation's Property Infrastructure team.
You will take end-to-end ownership of capital projects across a live hospital portfolio — from planning and design through to commissioning and handover.
You'll operate within a structured Capital Delivery Framework, coordinating consultants, contractors and clinical stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and governance.

Reports to: Capital Delivery Program Manager Experience required: 7–10+ years Role type: Full time permanent What You'll Own Lead full project lifecycle delivery — planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover — within live hospital environments Develop and manage detailed schedules, budgets, scopes and risk registers across concurrent workstreams Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and internal functions including ICT, medical equipment and engineering services Apply and champion the organisation's Capital Delivery Framework and governance standards Engage directly with Hospital General Managers, clinical leaders and operational teams to align delivery with service constraints Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements, statutory approvals, building codes and safety standards Provide transparent, structured reporting to executive leadership and governance bodies Contribute to continuous improvement of capital delivery processes,
tools and procurement approaches What You Bring 7–10+ years delivering complex capital or infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion Demonstrated experience working within hospital or similarly regulated live operational settings Proven track record managing consultants, contractors, budgets, schedules and risk concurrently Experience contributing to governance, reporting and assurance processes for capital projects Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management (desirable) Professional project management certification (desirable) What You Know Hospital operations, clinical adjacencies and the constraints of live healthcare construction Healthcare regulatory standards, statutory approvals and compliance requirements Construction, engineering, architectural and services coordination principles Capital cost management, forecasting and contract administration Risk identification, assessment and mitigation across large capital programs Change management, user-needs analysis and operational readiness (highly regarded) Who You Are Resilient and adaptable — you stay composed under pressure in fast-moving, complex environments A trusted communicator who builds credibility with clinical, operational and technical stakeholders alike Highly organised and outcomes-focused, with solid attention to detail A proactive problem-solver with sound judgement and professional integrity A safety leader who models and champions a strong safety culture across all project activities To Apply Applications are assessed on merit.
