Job Title: Service Supervisor – HVAC - 120k-140kk + car allowance + super A leading HVAC mechanical services contractor is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Supervisor to oversee day-to-day service operations across a busy and fast-paced HVAC division.
The role is predominantly office-based, with regular site visits to support field teams, ensure quality control, and assist with technical delivery on the ground.
Reporting directly to the Service Manager , this role is suited to an individual with strong HVAC technical knowledge and proven management experience, who enjoys leading teams, coordinating service delivery, and maintaining high standards across both planned and reactive maintenance environments.
About the Role The Service Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of HVAC service operations, including maintenance, breakdown response, minor works, and compliance servicing.
You will act as a key link between the office and field teams, ensuring technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors are effectively supported, scheduled, and delivering high-quality work.
This role combines technical HVAC expertise with hands-on team leadership, operational coordination, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities Allocate and coordinate daily work for HVAC service technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors Provide technical support for HVAC systems including diagnostics, fault-finding, and breakdown response Act as an escalation point for urgent service issues and after-hours call-outs where required Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service work Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality workmanship and compliance standards are met Lead, manage, and develop a team of technicians and apprentices,
including performance management and mentoring Support training and capability development across the service team Review and support quotations for service and minor project works Ensure all works are completed in line with WHS requirements and HVAC compliance standards Monitor job progress, productivity, and service performance outcomes Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Assist the Service Manager with workforce planning, scheduling, and operational improvements Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with company standards Support administrative and reporting requirements through service systems About You Strong technical background in HVAC or mechanical building services Experience in HVAC service, maintenance, or installation environments Proven management or supervisory experience , ideally leading trade or technical teams Confident in HVAC fault-finding, diagnostics, and system troubleshooting Strong understanding of WHS and compliance requirements within HVAC environments Demonstrated ability to lead, manage performance, and develop teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organised with strong workload prioritisation skills Genuine passion for leadership, mentoring, and building high-performing teams Role Overview Predominantly office-based with regular site inspections and field support Reporting directly to the Service Manager Leading a team of HVAC technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors Quick-paced service environment covering both planned and reactive HVAC works This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong HVAC professional with management experience who is ready to take ownership of service delivery, team performance, and client outcomes.
