GM Lab Group Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based company providing end-to-end signage and fit-out solutions across Australia, including design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance for commercial projects such as shopfronts, displays, and large- scale rollouts.
To support its operations, the company is currently seeking a full-time carpenter to build and modify structural elements, including timber frameworks and custom mounting solutions, ensuring signage is securely installed and aligned with design specifications.
The carpenter also plays a key role in fit-out works, assisting with the construction and installation of joinery, wall panelling, counters, display units, and integrated signage features.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of carpentry techniques, experience working with power tools, and the ability to work efficiently within a team in high-rise environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing general demolition of minor building structures Using carpentry tools and handling small components requiring manual dexterity Interpreting drawings to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation techniques Cutting and assembling timber and other materials Constructing and installing of joinery, wall panelling, counters, display units, and integrated signage features Constructing wall frames and assembling or dismantling formwork Assessing and making corrective adjustments to existing fittings Evaluating materials and costs for replacing old equipment and installing new components Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations Performing accurate calculations and measurements for assembling partitions Skills and qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the field Relevant AQF Certificate III or equivalent Drivers License Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
