Our Client, Waterson Diesel, is seeking qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Motor Mechanics to join its team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in heavy diesel engines and associated mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, braking, steering, and suspension systems.
Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy diesel vehicles and equipment.
Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, differentials, cooling systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic components.
Use diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and service information to identify and rectify faults.
Complete safety inspections, service reports, and maintenance records accurately.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform field service repairs when required.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and other team members to minimize equipment downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Maintain workshop tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
Requirements Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Motor Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
Experience servicing and repairing heavy diesel vehicles and equipment.
Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
