Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $80,000 per year Position Summary The Cook is responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking food according to established recipes and quality standards.
This role requires hands‐on experience, strong knowledge of cooking techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
This position aligns with ANZSCO ****** Cook Key Responsibilities Inspect and assess food items to ensure quality before preparation Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking equipment Prepare, cook, and season food according to recipes and menu requirements Portion food, plate dishes, and add sauces, gravies, and garnishes Store food safely in temperature‐controlled facilities Prepare meals for customers with special dietary requirements Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with Australian food safety standards Assist with menu planning and estimating food requirements when needed Train and guide kitchenhands, apprentices,



and junior staff Required Skills Qualifications AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with at least two years of on‐the‐job training OR AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery OR minimum three years of relevant experience as a Cook Strong practical knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques Ability to work under pressure in a fast‐paced kitchen environment Understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene regulations Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and quality standards Strong teamwork and communication skills Preferred Skills Experience in restaurants, catering, or high‐volume food establishments Knowledge of safe food storage and temperature control Ability to train and supervise junior kitchen staff Experience preparing meals for dietary needs (gluten‐free, vegetarian, halal, etc.) How to Apply Please submit your resume outlining your relevant experience and qualifications.
