About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team, with a focus on commercial HVAC and mechanical services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a developing engineer with approximately 1–5 years' relevant experience who is looking to build their technical and project experience within a supportive and experienced team.
The successful applicant will work closely with our engineering and project teams and gain exposure to a diverse range of commercial HVAC projects, from estimating and design through to construction and delivery.
Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 + superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities Develop and coordinate accurate shop/workshop drawings for commercial HVAC projects.
Select appropriate HVAC equipment and undertake equipment and ESP calculations.
Assist in developing practical and effective engineering solutions for commercial mechanical services.
Prepare design and construction documentation, including drawings, quality control documentation and equipment technical data.
Review drawings and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Conduct quality checks and assist with quality assurance processes.
Provide value engineering solutions where appropriate.
Assist with project estimating and preparation of tender documentation.




Work collaboratively with project managers, drafting staff, site teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
About You You will be a technically minded and motivated Mechanical Engineer with an interest in commercial HVAC and mechanical services.
You will have: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Approximately 1–5 years' relevant engineering experience , preferably within HVAC, building services or commercial construction.
An understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical services.
Knowledge of HVAC equipment selection and ESP calculations.
Experience with or an understanding of workshop/shop drawing preparation.
An understanding of relevant Australian Standards and the NCC/BCA.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a practical approach to engineering.
Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
