Exciting opportunity within a key Federal Government Agency 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extensions!!
Australia Wide - Rewarding hourly rates $$ One of Australia's key Federal Government agencies is seeking to engage a Lead Investigator and multiple Senior Investigators to support the delivery of complex investigations, fraud control, payment integrity, and compliance outcomes.
The successful candidates will conduct and oversee sensitive investigations, manage evidential material, produce high-quality briefs and reports, and work closely with internal stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and regulatory partners to ensure effective investigative outcomes.
These roles offer the opportunity to contribute to critical government programs while supporting integrity and compliance objectives.
The successful Investigators will be responsible for, but not limited to: Conducting and managing complex and sensitive investigations in accordance with relevant government investigation standards.
Planning and progressing investigations, including interviews, evidence gathering, witness statements, affidavits and case management activities.
Preparing high-quality investigation reports, briefs of evidence and referral documentation for relevant authorities.
Leading, mentoring and quality-assuring investigation activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and payment integrity outcomes Building and maintaining effective relationships with government, law enforcement, regulatory and other key stakeholders.
Maintaining accurate investigation records and ensuring compliance with legislative,



policy and security requirements.
The successful Investigators will have experience in the following: Demonstrated experience conducting complex investigations within government, regulatory, law enforcement, compliance or fraud environments.
Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or equivalent) and a solid understanding of investigation methodologies and standards.
Proven ability to collect, manage and analyse evidentiary material, confidential information and complex case data.
Experience preparing investigation reports, briefs of evidence, affidavits, statements and referral documentation.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across government, law enforcement and external partner agencies.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, decision-making and organisational skills, with experience leading or supporting investigative teams.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced investigation professionals to join a high-profile Federal Government agency delivering critical fraud control, compliance and payment integrity outcomes.
The successful candidates will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 12-month extension options , flexible Australia-wide working arrangements, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful government programs.
Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance are essential.
