National Dental Care's Toowoomba practice is seeking an experienced and capable Senior Dental Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Dental Assistant who is looking to expand their responsibilities and position themselves for a 2IC (Second-in-Charge) opportunity in the near future.
With the current Practice Manager scheduled to commence maternity leave later this year, there is a clear pathway for the right individual to step into a more senior, leadership-focused role within the practice.
About the Practice This well-established Toowoomba clinic operates as a 4-chair practice, delivering a full range of general dental services supported by an experienced Oral Health Therapist and hygiene team.
The practice is known for its strong patient base, collaborative team culture, and commitment to high-quality clinical care.

The Opportunity This position will see you working closely with clinicians and the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.
You will play a key role in both clinical delivery and operational support, with increasing responsibility over time.
Key responsibilities include: Chairside assisting across a wide range of general dental procedures Preparing, maintaining,



and sterilising clinical areas in line with infection control standards Supporting clinicians to ensure efficient and high-quality patient outcomes Delivering a high standard of patient care, ensuring comfort and professionalism at all times Assisting with stock control, ordering, and general practice organisation Supporting reception and front desk functions as required, including patient bookings and enquiries Contributing to team coordination and workflow efficiency Supporting leadership within the practice, with scope to step into a 2IC capacity About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Proven experience as a Dental Assistant (senior-level experience highly regarded) Robust chairside skills across general dentistry A solid understanding of infection control and sterilisation protocols The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support across both clinical and administrative functions Initiative, reliability, and a desire to take on increased responsibility An interest in progressing into a leadership or 2IC role What's on Offer Full-time, stable position within a reputable national dental organisation Clear progression pathway into a leadership/2IC role Supportive and collaborative team environment Exposure to both clinical and operational aspects of running a successful practice Competitive hourly rate of $31-$36 per hour, dependent on experience Apply or Enquire This is a strong opportunity for a Dental Assistant who is ready to step beyond a standard clinical role and take on broader responsibility within a well-supported and growing practice.
