QA Automation Engineer (Playwright CRM Platforms) Overview We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join a high-profile digital transformation initiative.
This contract opportunity will suit a quality-focused professional who combines strong automation engineering capability with hands-on API and manual testing experience.
The successful candidate will help deliver quality outcomes across complex business-critical applications, working closely with delivery teams to design, build, and maintain robust automated testing solutions while contributing across the full testing lifecycle.
Key Details Contract opportunity Hybrid working model (Brisbane-based) Automation-first setting Modern technology stack including Playwright, API testing tools, DevOps platforms, and AI-assisted development tools Collaborative Agile delivery team environment Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright.
Build and execute API and integration test suites using industry-standard tooling.
Create both manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing activities.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support test management processes.
Identify, document, and manage defects through to resolution.
Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.




Required Experience Demonstrated experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks using Playwright .
Strong background in web application and API testing.
Experience with Postman , API automation, and command-line test execution tools.
Proven capability in manual testing, test design, and exploratory testing.
Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript development skills.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Experience Experience working with enterprise CRM or customer-facing business platforms.
Exposure to Azure DevOps, Jira, GitLab, or similar DevOps ecosystems.
Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent technologies.
Relevant testing, automation, or platform certifications.
