About the Role: DD's Engineering Fabrication is now seeking to recruit a qualified Metal Fabricator to join its friendly team.
The role will be responsible for the following key tasks: Reading blueprints/plans for the specifications of each job, including position and dimensions of the parts to be assembled or repaired; Installing maintaining and repairing boilers, tanks, large containers, vessels and vats; Determining the best equipment and welding method based on the specific job requirements; Cutting, moulding and welding metal/steel to fix faults,



and weld and bolt parts of the structure together; Assembling and fabricating structures made of metal using an array of welding techniques such as MIG and TIG welding, electric arc, and oxygen-acetylene; Cleaning boilers, vats, and boiler furnaces; Using hand tools, flame torches and other machinery to shape, cut and weld sections of metal; Inspecting and testing welded structures and surfaces to discover flaws; Performing a range of maintenance functions including, removing equipment fastenings etc; Performing hot work in accordance with the requirements of AS***********, Safety in Welding and Allied processes - Fire precautions; Applying safe work practices and adhere to OH S policies and procedures; Identifying problems and solve them in a timely manner.
About the Candidate: The ideal candidate will hold relevant diploma level qualifications as a Metal Fabricator along with 1 -3 years of experience in similar role.
