Lead Nurse (Registered Nurse) We are a friendly Private billing Practice, located in Miranda, seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Practice in a clinical leadership role focused on quality, governance and client outcomes.
This is an chance to move beyond shift work and influence clinical excellence through oversight, mentoring, incident management, education and continuous improvement.
You will work alongside our team to ensure safe, effective and person-centred services are delivered across the Practice.
About The Role This role is to provide clinical leadership and oversight across the Practice whilst combining hands-on clinical practice with governance, quality and compliance responsibilities and is suited to a Registered Nurse who enjoys autonomy, problem solving and working collaboratively with other nurses and doctors.
This role is Monday to Thursday with occasional Saturday morning, when other nurses are on leave.
Experience you will need A current Registered Nurse registration without restrictions from AHPRA.
Experience in general practice, primary healthcare, or a similar clinical setting.
Ability to lead and manage people in a team environment.
Experience in a Lead Nurse role is desirable.
Key Responsibilities * General nursing duties including vaccine, wound care,



assisting with minor surgical procedures.
* Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
* Participate in recalls.
* Participate in maintaining and supply of Practice equipment.
* Provide clinical advice and support to nurses/doctors.
* Record, Review, Investigate and respond to clinical incidents.
* Support compliance with reportable incident obligations.
* Conduct clinical audits, provide maintain quality assurance activities maintain clinical risk register.
* Report the Practice's results to PRODA for PIP/WIP.
* Maintain CVC Program and billing.
* Participate in Accreditation including maintaining Infection Control and Vaccine Manuals as per RACGP requirements.
* Co-ordinate and assess staff clinical competencies.
* Deliver education, mentoring and professional support to employees.
* Liaise with hospitals, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
