The successful applicant will contribute to delivering durable, attractive tiled finishes that support the company's commitment to creating distinctive homes reflecting each client's lifestyle and aspirations.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: • Examine building plans and specifications to determine tiling layouts and material requirements.
• Measure and mark wall and floor surfaces accurately before commencing installation work.
• Remove existing tiles, grout, adhesives and damaged materials from designated surfaces.
• Prepare substrates by cleaning, levelling, filling cracks and repairing surface imperfections.
• Apply approved waterproofing systems to wet areas before installing wall and floor tiles.
• Spread adhesives evenly across prepared surfaces and position tiles securely in place.
• Cut and shape ceramic, porcelain, stone and glass tiles around fittings and corners.
• Ensure installed tiles remain correctly aligned, evenly spaced and level throughout each area.
• Install decorative patterns, borders and feature finishes according to approved designs.
• Apply grout between tiles and remove excess material to achieve clean finishes.




• Seal tiled surfaces and joints where required to improve durability and moisture resistance.
• Inspect completed work for alignment, finish quality, defects and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain tools, cutting equipment and work areas in safe operating condition.
• Coordinate with supervisors, builders and other trades to complete projects within scheduled timeframes.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, construction requirements and company quality standards on every project.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: • Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling, or an equivalent recognised qualification relevant to the occupation.
• At least one year of practical experience completing residential or commercial wall and floor tiling projects.
• Demonstrated ability to measure, prepare, waterproof, tile and grout surfaces accurately to professional standards.
• Competence using manual and powered tile-cutting equipment safely around corners, pipes, fittings and edges.
• Sound knowledge of adhesives, grouts, sealants, waterproofing products and appropriate applications for different surfaces.
• Ability to interpret plans, calculate material quantities and establish accurate layouts before commencing installation work.
• Robust attention to alignment, spacing, levels, patterns and finished presentation across internal and external surfaces.
• Ability to satisfy applicable Subclass 482 requirements and perform full-time duties within the nominated occupation.
