Elite Interiors NT Pty Ltd t/as DCT Australia, is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join its workshop team.
Duties include: Diagnose, inspect, service and repair heavy diesel engines, transmissions, drivelines, braking, steering, suspension and hydraulic systems.
Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy diesel vehicles, earthmoving equipment, mobile plant and trailers.
Inspect, test and diagnose mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment, service manuals and manufacturer specifications.
Repair or replace worn, damaged or defective mechanical components to restore equipment to operational condition.
Dismantle, overhaul, reassemble and test diesel engines, components and associated mechanical systems.
Read and interpret workshop manuals, technical drawings and manufacturer specifications.
Complete service reports,



maintenance records and repair documentation.
Maintain workshop tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements and manufacturer standards.
Skills Experience Required: Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Motor Mechanic or equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant experience Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Solid commitment to workplace health and safety.
