We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about food preparation, quality presentation, and working in a busy commercial kitchen.
About the Role As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and workplace safety.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting kitchen operations and ensuring efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Prepare, season and cook a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items.
Prepare and cook café-style meals including burgers, wraps, sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes, meat, poultry and seafood dishes.
Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality and presentation standards are maintained.
Assist in planning menus and making recommendations regarding food offerings and specials.
Estimate food requirements and assist with ordering and stock control.
Receive, inspect and store food supplies in accordance with food safety standards.




Monitor stock levels and minimise food wastage.
Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, workstations and food preparation areas.
Check the quality of raw ingredients and finished dishes.
Assist with portion control and cost management.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Assist with training junior kitchen staff when required.
Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: Relevant qualification equivalent to Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher.
At least one year of relevant work experience as a Cook Experience working in a busy café, restaurant, bistro or hospitality venue.
Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial kitchen operations.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings when required.
A positive attitude and robust team-oriented approach.
