Job Description Location: Truganina VIC + site-based work across Australia Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Controls Automation Engineer to deliver end to end electrical and automation solutions across major industrial and material handling projects.
This is a handson role covering the full project lifecycle—from design and programming through to testing, commissioning, and startup—working closely with internal teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, program, and modify PLC software using Siemens and Allen Bradley (Rockwell) platforms Develop PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and communication links between PLCs and SCADA systems Configure and integrate automation equipment including motors, VFDs, encoders, and sensors Support shop-floor testing, on-site installation, start-up, and commissioning activities Provide technical guidance and support to technicians during installation and commissioning Participate in remote support activities for troubleshooting and system optimization Coordinate proactively with project managers, engineers, technicians, suppliers, and site personnel What you'll need to have Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or a related discipline 4+ years' experience in automation design, PLC programming, and commissioning Proven delivery of automation projects within material handling, manufacturing, process,
