Kalgoolie and Northern Goldfields, WA Our client specialises in crushing and ore sorting for all requirements in mining, milling and civil applications.
They are running crushing circuits and general site works over a number of projects within the Goldfields region.
They have exciting opportunities for experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters (Fitter (Generals)) for permanent positions based in Kalgoolie and the Northern Goldfields.
Your role would include and not be limited to the following duties: * analyse, diagnose, repair, modify or install parts and equipment working to minimize downtime.
* studying drawings to determine suitable material, sequence of operations, and machine settings.
* Diagnosing, repairing, fitting and overhauling engines, plant equipment and machinery.
* Maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and fitting hydraulic components of diesel–powered attachments such as pumps and injectors.
* Dismantling, repairing and reassembling parts/components.
* Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to fit, replace, assemble and repair metal parts including fabrication of parts, machinery and other equipment.




* Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
* Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.
* Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.
* Inspecting equipment and machinery for faults.
* Following workplace Occupational Health Safety (OHS) protocols.
To be considered for this role you must have the following attributes: Relevant qualifications (at least Cert III) in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Diesel Fitter.
-Trained and relevant experience in the trade -Diagnostic Skills -Able to demonstrate effective work practices.
