We're partnering with a local government organisation to recruit an experienced Events Officer for a long-term temporary engagement.
This part-time opportunity offers the chance to join a high-performing team responsible for delivering a diverse calendar of civic and community events that make a real impact across the region.
The Opportunity: Working within a collaborative communications and engagement team, you'll support the planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of events.
No two weeks will look the same, with everything from formal civic functions and community celebrations through to stakeholder engagement activities and special events.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage competing priorities, and enjoys being both behind the scenes and front-and-centre when required.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinating and delivering community and civic events from planning through to pack down Managing event logistics, suppliers and stakeholder relationships Supporting event promotions and community engagement initiatives Working closely with internal teams, community groups and external partners Assisting with event administration, reporting and event-related communications Contributing to events that create positive outcomes for the local community About You: We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring previous events experience to the team.
You will ideally have: Demonstrated experience in event management,



marketing or community engagement Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Confidence working with a range of stakeholders, including senior executives and community representatives A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach A current C Class Driver Licence Local government experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
