Job description We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Administration Officer to support our busy government client.
This is a great opportunity to contribute within a fast-paced, community-focused environment, supporting key operational and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Provide general administrative and clerical support, including undertaking basic research and assisting with day-to-day operational tasks across the team.
Prepare, format, and process reports, Council-style documentation, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to required standards.
Coordinate meetings and team activities, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, organising presentations, and managing logistics.
Manage inbound and outbound correspondence using internal record management systems (e.g. ECM/Pathways), including tracking, filing, and retrieving documents.
Coordinate small-scale events and departmental activities, including room bookings, invitations, and stakeholder communication.
Respond to customer and general enquiries, providing timely and professional assistance while maintaining a high standard of service.
Assist with diary management and scheduling, coordinating appointments and ensuring effective time management for team members.
Compile and prepare monthly reports, data, and statistics to support operational and management requirements.
Process orders, invoices, and requisitions through financial systems, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Maintain and update internal and external information platforms, ensuring content is accurate and up to date.
Provide team support and back-up assistance during peak periods and staff absences, contributing to overall team efficiency and continuity.
About You Demonstrated experience in administration, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage day-to-day tasks efficiently.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all work is completed to a qualified standard.
Confident working across multiple systems and platforms, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to delivering high-quality service.
Ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to support team objectives and respond to changing priorities.
Essential Proven experience in an administrative role, with solid organisational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience with records management systems (highly regarded)
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
