Accountant Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 + super | Sydney CBD location - close to public transport Hybrid working arrangement (2 days WFH after training) 6-month contract opportunity with a strong view to extend or convert to a permanent position Join a well-established and highly respected not-for-profit organisation based in Sydney CBD, in their collaborative finance team.

6-month contract chance with a strong view to extend or convert to a permanent position Sydney CBD location close to public transport Hybrid working arrangement (2 days WFH after training) Supportive and collaborative team culture Career development and ongoing learning opportunities Opportunity to work for an organisation with a strong community impact Access to salary packaging benefits allowing you to maximise your take-home pay Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the fixed asset register, including asset additions, disposals and depreciation calculations Support lease accounting processes and related reporting requirements Perform balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations Prepare month-end journals,
accruals and prepayments Assist with year-end reporting, audit preparation and financial statement support General ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities Investigate and resolve account discrepancies Support budgeting, forecasting and finance reporting requirements Respond to internal stakeholder queries and provide finance support Assist with process improvements and system enhancements Skills Experience Previous experience in an Accountant or Assistant Accountant role Strong experience managing fixed assets Experience with lease accounting Proven experience performing bank reconciliations Experience working with large ERP systems Strong reconciliation and analytical skills Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to quickly adapt and hit the ground running If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity within the not-for-profit sector where your skills can make a real impact, PLEASE APPLY NOW or contact Dijana at AccountAbility for more information.
