Join Western District Health Service as a Registered Nurse – Coleraine Campus , where you'll provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care across both residential aged care and acute services.

What You'll Be Doing As part of our dedicated nursing team, you'll provide safe, evidence-based, and person-centred care across: Person-Centred Nursing Care Deliver comprehensive nursing care that supports residents' and patients' individual needs, preferences, goals, and wellbeing while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Clinical Assessment Care Planning Undertake nursing assessments and contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical outcomes.
Medication Management Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with legislation, organisational policies, and skilled standards.
Monitoring Clinical Decision Making Identify, assess, and respond to changes in residents' and patients' health status, ensuring timely intervention and escalation when required.
Leadership Supervision Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to Enrolled Nurses, Health Care Workers, and students, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Consumer Engagement Build strong partnerships with residents, patients, families, and carers by encouraging participation in care planning and supporting informed decision-making.
Teamwork Collaboration Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care and achieve positive health outcomes.
Quality, Safety Compliance Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to professional standards and organisational policies, and actively contribute to quality improvement, accreditation, and patient safety initiatives.
What You Bring Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA Demonstrated clinical nursing experience, preferably within aged care, acute care, or rural health settings Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and care planning skills Experience in medication administration and clinical documentation A commitment to delivering high-quality person-centred care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and support staff Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning Understanding of relevant legislation, professional standards, and safe work practices About Us: Coleraine District Health Service comprises of 10 acute beds, 12 nursing home beds and 41 hostel aged care beds.
