First nations clinician Employment: Permanent Salary: SCHADS level 4 Location: QLD and NSW locations Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified position.
Ipswich/Inala area, QLD Caboolture/Strathpine area, QLD Coffs Harbour area, NSW About The Role Our client is seeking qualified Social Workers, Counsellors, or Behavioural Therapists to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants experiencing complex psychosocial challenges.
This is a community-based role requiring travel to participant homes, workplaces, and community locations within the local region.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide culturally safe, trauma-informed support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants, helping them overcome barriers to wellbeing, independence, and employment.
Key Responsibilities Deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions.
Provide counselling, behavioural interventions, advocacy, and case management support.
Support participants experiencing mental health concerns, alcohol and other drug use, domestic and family violence, housing instability, financial hardship, and other complex life challenges.
Develop practical strategies that enhance resilience, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
Collaborate with Employment Consultants, community organisations, and external service providers.
Complete clinical assessments, case notes, reports,



and other documentation in line with professional standards.
Maintain a participant-centred approach focused on achieving positive and sustainable outcomes.
About You Qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Behavioural Therapy, or a related discipline .
Professional membership/accreditation with AASW, ACA, PACFA , or equivalent (where applicable).
Experience supporting individuals facing complex psychosocial barriers.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based practice .
Excellent communication, advocacy, and case management skills.
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
Passionate about improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
