About the Role Excellent Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Services are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our maintenance team at a large, high-volume commercial laundry facility.
This role is critical to ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of industrial laundry equipment, including washers, hydro extractors, and industrial dryers.
This position suits a technician with solid practical experience in industrial thermal systems, machinery maintenance, and fault diagnosis, capable of working independently and coordinating repairs to minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities • Inspect, service, maintain, and repair industrial washing machines, hydro extractors, and industrial dryers • Maintain and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems supporting laundry machinery and production areas • Perform urgent troubleshooting and emergency breakdown repairs, particularly involving industrial dryers and thermal systems • Diagnose mechanical and electromechanical faults using technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer documentation • Replace and repair components including motors, belts, bearings, blowers, heating elements, sensors, switches, contactors, and control devices • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules • Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective,
