They provide exceptional levels of service and expertise to their clients and as a result, they are experiencing strong and steady growth.
Their fleet of cranes, concrete pump trucks, telehandlers and support vehicles plays a critical role on major infrastructure and commercial projects throughout Melbourne and Victoria.
Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Fleet Compliance Maintenance Technician to join the team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety.
One day you'll be preparing equipment for site mobilisation and ensuring it meets strict Tier 1 compliance requirements, and the next you'll be attending a breakdown or carrying out preventative maintenance to keep the fleet operating safely and efficiently.
The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring all mobile plant and support vehicles are site-ready and compliant before they arrive on project sites.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing cranes, concrete pump trucks, telehandlers, utes and support equipment for mobilisation.
Conducting pre-site inspections to ensure equipment meets Tier 1 client compliance and risk assessment requirements.
Including identifying and rectifying defects prior to equipment arriving on site.
Accurately tracking and maintaining all records required for company equipment.
This includes the Equipment Register, maintenance and inspection records in accordance with Australian standards and Tier 1 project requirements.
Carrying out routine servicing, preventative maintenance and light mechanical repairs on equipment that can be completed in-house.
Coordinate and manage third party maintenance suppliers for the more complex and specialised equipment when required.
Including keeping accurate cost records relating to all plant and equipment breakdowns.
Attending breakdowns, diagnosing faults, then returning to a protected and serviceable condition or calling in specialized mechanical support as required.
Source and procure all parts and items required for in house equipment maintenance and repairs.
Liaising with Tier 1 constructions clients for onboarding of equipment to project sites.
This includes compilation and submission of all paperwork required.
Maintaining clear communication with site teams, operators, workshop staff and management to coordinate effective repairs and equipment availability.
Analysis of breakdown, maintenance and parts costs specific to each equipment item to assist the Director with planning for disposal and procurement of future plant items.
Promoting safe work practices and maintaining high presentation standards across the fleet.
About You To be successful in this role you will have: Mechanical experience working on heavy mobile plant, trucks or construction equipment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
A good understanding of construction site safety and compliance requirements.
The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
A current driver's licence (HR licence advantageous).
Forklift, EWP or relevant plant tickets will be highly regarded.
