About the team The Education and Policy Leadership team plays a vital role in advancing the AICD's governance leadership agenda through policy influence, stakeholder engagement, research, education and thought leadership.
Working across the organisation and with external partners, the team helps shape conversations that strengthen governance practices and deliver positive outcomes for Australian organisations and communities.
About the role This is a unique opportunity to lead one of the AICD's most visible and impactful strategic priorities.
As Board Diversity Manager, you will champion initiatives that help create more diverse, inclusive and high-performing boards across Australia.
Working closely with senior leaders, directors, policy experts, industry bodies and key partners, you will shape strategy, influence public discourse, deliver meaningful programs and build strong partnerships that drive measurable outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of governance, stakeholder engagement, advocacy and program leadership, offering the opportunity to influence positive change at a national level.
You'll bring together diverse perspectives, translate insights into action and help ensure the AICD remains a trusted leader in advancing board diversity and governance excellence across Australia.
Your remit will be broad and will include: Leading the development and execution of the AICD's Board Diversity Strategy Driving organisation-wide coordination of diversity initiatives, partnerships and engagement activities Developing programs, campaigns and research that support greater diversity on Australian boards Working closely with policy colleagues to inform advocacy and public policy positions Overseeing board diversity data,



reporting and insights to support evidence-based decision making Establishing evaluation frameworks to measure impact and inform future priorities Managing high-profile diversity programs, including the Chair's Mentoring Program and scholarship initiatives Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, industry bodies and strategic partners Supporting the AICD's partnership with the Australian Chapter of the 30% Club Representing the AICD at events, forums and stakeholder engagements to advance board diversity outcomes What you bring to the role You are a collaborative and influential professional with a genuine passion for advancing diversity and inclusion within Australian boardrooms.
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and navigating complex environments, you combine strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
You are highly organised, evidence-driven and able to bring people together around shared objectives, while building trusted relationships that deliver meaningful outcomes You will champion the AICD "OneTeam" approach and values of: Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration .
In addition, you will also have the following: Deep understanding of the value and impact of board diversity Demonstrable experience designing and delivering diversity-focused initiatives, campaigns or programs Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior executive and director-level audiences Experience establishing and managing strategic partnerships Exceptional written communication skills, including preparation of reports, papers and presentations Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting and presenting data-driven insights Highly developed facilitation,
