Intensive Care Unit Overview The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) features 16 beds dedicated to both adult and paediatric patients.
They manage over 800 acute admissions annually, including ***** paediatric cases and approximately 100 elective procedural admissions.
In addition to providing comprehensive intensive care, the ICU offers a range of Outreach Services to support patients across the health service.
Clinical Excellence and Collaborative Care The ICU handles a diverse and complex caseload, encompassing trauma, interventional cardiology, general surgery, infectious diseases, and tropical and complex medical conditions.




Paediatric patients receive collaborative care in partnership with local paediatricians and are closely supported by tertiary Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) specialists from a neighbouring hospital.
