Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a respected organisation that delivers essential services to remote communities across the Kimberley.
We are seeking a hands-on leader to relocate to Kalumburu in a permanent residential position.
This varied role combines essential services maintenance with the supervision of a small community-based team, offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact while enjoying a unique coastal lifestyle.
The Role: Reporting into the Operations team, your responsibilities will include both technical and supervisory duties including: Inspecting and maintaining water and wastewater infrastructure Monitoring plant performance and carrying out basic repairs Coordinating municipal services including waste management, vegetation control and general community maintenance Leading, mentoring and developing a local workforce Maintaining service records and ensuring reliable day-to-day operations What's on Offer: Permanent residential position in Kalumburu, WA $120,000 - $130,000 per annum + Super Rent-free 3x1 accommodation All utilities included, including internet paid for Fully maintained company vehicle 6 weeks annual leave Structured rostered time away iPhone and iPad provided Living in Kalumburu - Important to know: Kalumburu is extremely remote and is accessible by road during the dry season and by small aircraft year-round.
Road access is cut off during the wet season (November - May) .
Kalumburu is a completely dry community (meaning alcohol is not permitted within the community).
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a remote lifestyle and is looking to become part of a close-knit community.
About You: You'll be practical, self-motivated and comfortable living and working in a remote setting.
You will have the natural ability to be able to liaise with the indigenous community, understanding their needs and being able to effectively communicate thoughts and idea's and report back any information needed.
Essential: Leadership or supervisory experience Maintenance, utilities, municipal services or similar background Strong communication and mentoring skills Current C Class Driver's Licence First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain) Full Australian working rights Desirable: Trade qualification (plumbing, electrical, mechanical or alike) Experience with water, wastewater or essential services Previous remote or Indigenous community experience highly regarded Our Commitment to Diversity: As this role supports a remote Indigenous community, we strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to apply.
