Team Leader/Child, Youth & Family Practitioner - Dual role
Make a difference to children and young people working as an active Practitioner with a case load AND also work as a Team Leader supporting a close knit team working with children and young people in the community! We are looking for a Team Leader/CYF Practitioner for a fixed term opportunity to April ****.
Working in the Family Mental Health Service (FMHSS), this part time opportunity is a unique combined leadership / practitioner role!
FMHSS provides individual support to children and young people within the context of their family. We meet with children, young people and their families at a time and place that suits them, working with the young person to address their mental health needs and helping their parents to understand and support better management of their child's mental health. The support is free and 100% outreach to the relevant catchment area.

About you
To succeed in this role you need to be highly motivated to perform, and be driven by core values consistent with the Accoras purpose and mission. You will be a leader capable of supporting and directing others by overseeing all day-to-day aspects of service delivery and program implementation, including providing guidance related to general client work, partnerships, delivery of group work, and management of the program waitlist.
Specifically,
you will need to demonstrate the following requirements:
Be tertiary degree qualified in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or similar
Have a minimum of two years' experience in successfully leading and supporting a team
Demonstrate relevant experience working in a clinical or therapeuticrole with children and young people aged 0 - 18 and knowledge of child and adolescent mental health
Bring experience working from a strengths-based framework and utilising a client-centred and family-focused approach
Demonstrate skills in completing holistic assessments and delivery of interventions for children and young people who present with low-level mental health concerns
Demonstrate the ability to work confidently with family systems, providing advice and guidance around basic parenting and age-appropriate development
Demonstrate skills in making appropriate decisions and problem solving, including in crisis situations and where risk to client safety is involved
Bring highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to network and develop relationships with community partners and stakeholders
Be familiar with the local service community, or have the ability to rapidly become familiar with it.
