Social Worker - Family Support Services Case Manager.
Kogan People Solutions are delighted to be working with a local government powerhouse in Melbourne's southeast, who wish to appoint a qualified skilled and experienced Family Support Services Case Manager.
The newly appointed Family Support Services Case Manager will provide high-quality, confidential, and culturally sensitive case management and crisis assessment to vulnerable families, children, and young people referred via coordinated family intake/triage hubs.
The full time role focuses on child safety, wellbeing, stability, and delivering evidence-based parenting and child group programs within a multi-disciplinary framework.
Location – Dandenong Vic Salary – Offered in the range $95k to $105k plus superannuation, per annum Key Responsibilities of this exciting position include Case Management Assessment: Manage a busy caseload!
Conduct risk and crisis assessments, design collaborative family intervention timelines, and maintain accurate records/case notes.
Group Programs: Research, develop, facilitate, and evaluate targeted support groups for parents and skill-building programs for at-risk children.
Advocacy Referrals : Identify family dysfunction (including family violence) and connect clients to resources, using interpreters where necessary.
Advocate on behalf of families with government and community sectors.
Compliance Legislation: Operate strictly under the Children, Youth and Families Act **** , Mandatory Reporting, Child Safe Standards,



Privacy legislation, and the "Best Interests" framework.
Operational Demands : Participate in an after-hours availability roster if required, and act as a certified First Aid Officer.
To be considered, we expect to be able to observe: Qualifications Compliance Education: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other highly relevant course of study.
Mandatory Checks: Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Police Check Valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
Certifications: Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Education/Care setting First Aid, and Anaphylaxis Management.
Experience Skills Practice Knowledge: A minimum of one year or more proven experience in family case management, risk assessment tools, and direct parenting/family interventions.
Program Delivery: Track record in designing, running, and evaluating group programs for youth and parents.
Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and diverse community/tertiary service providers.
Administration Technology: Solid workload prioritisation, report writing, and intermediate computer literacy (MS Office and EDRMS systems like Objective ).
