AO5 Graphic Designer - Infrastructure and Transport Location: Cairns or Townsville, QLD Contract: 7 September **** to 30 June ****, with 2 x 12-month extension options Pay: $***** - $***** p/h including super Work type: Full-time, 40 hours per week Work arrangement: Office based, with flexible arrangements agreed with your supervisor on a case-by-case basis after an initial probation period Police check: A National Police Check is required About the Role Join our State Government client as an AO5 Graphic Designer supporting transport and community engagement across North Queensland.
You will create transparent, contemporary materials across print, digital, video and online channels.
You will turn complex information into accessible visual communication for stakeholders and communities.
The role also provides design advice to executives and internal clients.
You will balance several priorities while maintaining quality, accessibility and brand consistency.
What You'll Be Doing Develop creative solutions aligned with regional communication objectives Advise executives and stakeholders on design, branding and production Translate complex information into clear visual communication Produce publications, brochures, newsletters, maps and presentations Create social media content,
advertisements and video materials Manage competing projects using workflow and project management tools Apply brand, accessibility, deadline and budget requirements Coordinate printers, photographers, videographers and other suppliers Improve visual communication processes, services and standards Collaborate with graphic design teams across the organisation What You Bring (Essential Criteria) You've produced high-level creative work for a large organisation You use Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro confidently You can create contemporary solutions for complex communication needs You understand WCAG and accessible PDF and Word document practices You can manage multiple complex projects and shifting priorities You've worked within corporate branding and style guidelines You communicate clearly with executives, stakeholders and creative teams You're an Australian citizen You can complete a National Police Check Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria) At least five years' visual communication or graphic design experience A Graphic Design qualification or equivalent industry experience Knowledge of Queensland Government processes and policies Experience coordinating outsourced creative production Roles like this move fast - apply now and keep your full hourly rate with Effective People's free payroll service.
