Osborn House is a lovingly restored, impeccably styled 5-star luxury boutique hotel in Bundanoon NSW **** The restaurant in the Hotel offers carefully curated menus that tell a story of the seasons.
The menus change regularly and they can be tasted while enjoying the views across Morton National Park.
Osborn House is now looking for an experienced Chef to join their team.
The right candidate will be responsible for: Assist in planning and developing seasonal menus showcasing contemporary Australian cuisine with Latin American influences, using premium local produce.
Prepare and cook high-quality à la carte, open-fire, and function dishes to the hotel's luxury dining standards.
Prepare, portion, and cook premium meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and house-made sauces using a variety of cooking techniques, including open-fire grilling.
Operate across multiple kitchen sections, including grill, larder, hot line, and function service, ensuring smooth and productive operations.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, plating, and food safety procedures.
Delegate daily tasks and supervise kitchen staff to maintain productivity, consistency, and service excellence.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients while minimising waste.
Coordinate closely with front-of-house and events teams to deliver seamless restaurant, private dining, and special event service.
Maintain stock rotation and inventory control using FIFO principles to maximise freshness and minimise waste.




Support the kitchen brigade during high-volume restaurant service, special events, and private functions.
Manage the kitchen pass to ensure all dishes meet quality, presentation, and timing standards before service.
Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
Maintain a clean, organised, and professional kitchen environment while consistently delivering exceptional culinary standards.
About you: At least 1 year of experience as a Chef; Strong knowledge of contemporary Australian cuisine, Latin American flavours, and live-fire cooking techniques.
Proven ability to prepare premium à la carte, open-fire, and event dining experiences using seasonal local produce.
Experience working in a fast-paced luxury hotel or premium restaurant kitchen while maintaining exceptional quality and consistency.
Reliable, organised, and committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences and high culinary standards.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, with experience mentoring junior kitchen staff.
Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and workplace health and safety legislation.
Skilled in menu preparation, food presentation, stock control, inventory management, and waste minimisation.
Ability to multitask, prioritise competing demands, and perform effectively under pressure during busy restaurant and event service.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistency, presentation, and excellence in every dish.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent; Salary: $79,000 - $85,000;
