From daily meal services to field catering and specialised requirements, you'll play a key role in ensuring Defence personnel receive exceptional food experiences.
You'll also contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient and positive kitchen environment while supporting the wider catering team.
Your Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present meals to a consistently high standard Support and guide Kitchen Hands and Utility staff Maintain food safety, hygiene and compliance requirements Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively Assist with large-scale catering requirements and emergency meal services Help maintain a clean,
organised and efficient kitchen operation Work collaboratively to deliver outstanding service outcomes About You We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a positive team-first attitude.
To be successful, you'll have: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) HACCP Level 2 certification Minimum 5 years' experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen Strong organisational and planning skills The ability to adapt and perform in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment A professional, proactive and cooperative approach Alignment with Ventia's values and commitment to service excellence Defence Clearance Requirements: This role requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance.
