About the Role We are looking for Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter and Pipe Fitters to join large-scale projects in starting on a Temp Contract with option to transfer to Full Time within 4 months.
Multiple ongoing long term positions available for installation/upgrade or maintenance work on a processing plant, or brand-new water treatment plant.
Job Details Pay rates: $***** + Overtime, Penalties, Allowances Shifts: 6:00am or 6:30am start times Monday to Friday with overtime on offer.
Role: New Construction and plant upgrade projects of large-scale manufacturing facilities incl the oil gas, chemical, energy, or water sectors.
Employment: Long term contracts, full time opportunity on offer within 4 months Location: Port of Brisbane What You'll Be Doing Install, assemble, and maintain mechanical equipment, pipework, pressure vessels, and rotating machinery.
Carry out on-site repairs, shutdowns,



and planned maintenance for heavy industrial plants.
Perform alignment, bolting/tensioning, hydro testing and commissioning of equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, P IDs, and fabrication plans.
Troubleshoot and service rotating equipment including pumps, motors etc.
Work safely in line with health, safety, environment, and quality standards.
What We're Looking For Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent).
Strong hands-on experience in heavy industry, maintenance, or shutdown environments.
Ability to work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Demonstrated safety focus and commitment to quality workmanship.
Flexibility to work on site, during shutdowns, and in diverse conditions.
Must have Current Driver's Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space tickets and white card.
Highly Regarded: Previous oil gas, water, petrochemical, or energy sector experience.
Experience with pressure vessels, piping systems, and machining.
Familiarity with bolting/tensioning and flange management.
