About the Role Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, you'll lead the Accounts Payable team, taking ownership of end-to-end AP operations while managing your own ledger.
Working within a supportive finance environment, you'll be the key point of escalation for AP issues, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time, and that stores receive the support they need.
Your responsibilities will include: Leading, coaching and mentoring the AP team, delegating work and managing day-to-day workloads Acting as the point of escalation for complex supplier, operational and system-related queries Overseeing full-function AP operations including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations and supplier enquiries Managing AP mailboxes and queues, ensuring service levels and turnaround times are met Monitoring KPIs, SLAs, backlog volumes, ageing and payment performance and taking action to improve results Maintaining strong financial controls,
governance and compliance across AP processes Partnering with Procurement, Finance, Store Operations, Treasury and IT to resolve issues and improve processes Contributing to continuous improvement, automation and standardisation initiatives within the AP function About You You're an experienced AP professional and people leader who enjoys balancing hands-on work with coaching and support.
You'll bring: 5 + years' Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment Proven leadership or team supervision experience within an AP function Strong SAP experience is essential Confidence managing escalations and providing guidance to your team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret KPIs and drive performance Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach Solid understanding of AP controls, governance and compliance requirements An Accounting or Business-related qualification is desirable but not essential.
