About the role Our client is seeking an experienced Pump Fitter to join their growing workshop and field service team based in Unanderra, NSW.
Working on a wide range of industrial pumping equipment, you will be responsible for the repair, overhaul, fault finding and testing of pumps used across mining, manufacturing, water and wastewater facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded tradesperson looking for long-term stability, varied work and the chance to further develop their technical skills within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities Repair, overhaul and rebuild a wide range of industrial pumps including centrifugal, submersible, slurry, split-case and positive displacement pumps Diagnose mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair solutions Strip, inspect and reassemble pumps to manufacturer specifications Replace bearings, seals, shafts, impellers and other mechanical components Conduct testing, alignment and performance checks following repairs Complete workshop documentation and inspection reports accurately Provide onsite breakdown support, installation and maintenance when required Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop while adhering to WHS policies and procedures Skills and Experience Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter,



Fitter Turner or equivalent Previous experience repairing and rebuilding industrial pumps Experience working on multistage, splitcase and submersible or positive displacement pumps highly regarded Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation Experience using workshop equipment and precision measuring tools Current driver's licence Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship Australian working rights Culture Join a well-established business where quality workmanship, teamwork and continuous improvement are highly valued.
