About the role We're recruiting a Construction Supervisor to support the delivery of the Reeves Plains Battery Energy Storage System project, a key project within Alinta Energy's growing renewable energy portfolio.
This opportunity is suited to a trade-qualified construction professional with renewable energy project experience who is ready to step into a client-side supervision role.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll act as Alinta Energy's day-to-day field representative, maintaining a strong presence across the site and providing active construction assurance.
You'll work closely with contractors, engineers and the wider project team to identify issues early, verify the quality and progress of the works and support safe and compliant project delivery.
You are not expected to arrive with extensive client-side management experience.
The role provides direct mentoring from the Construction Manager and progressive exposure to project assurance, reporting, contractor management and broader construction management responsibilities.

What you'll do Maintain a strong field presence across the project and develop a detailed understanding of the works.
Observe construction activities and identify quality, safety, progress or interface issues early.
Check works against drawings, specifications, inspection requirements and approved construction documentation.
Monitor contractor progress and provide clear site-based information to the Construction Manager.
Participate in inspections, testing, walkdowns and quality assurance activities.
Maintain accurate site records, photographs and construction reporting.
Support project assurance, HSE reporting, schedule visibility and action close-out.
Build productive working relationships with contractors, engineers and project stakeholders.
Develop your client-side construction and project delivery capability under the guidance of the Construction Manager.
Your experience A trade qualification in an electrical, mechanical or construction-related discipline.
Practical construction experience on renewable energy projects, preferably wind, solar, BESS or substations.
Experience working in a site-based role such as tradesperson, leading hand, junior supervisor, construction coordinator or similar.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, ITPs and work packs.
A strong safety mindset and willingness to challenge work that does not meet requirements.




Valuable communication, organisation and reporting skills.
A proactive approach and willingness to spend the majority of the working day in the field.
A genuine interest in learning the client-side construction function and developing toward future Construction Manager responsibilities.
