About the Role As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll provide comprehensive assessment, intervention and care coordination for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns.
Your responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive mental health and biopsychosocial assessments Completing suicide risk and safety assessments Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions Developing collaborative care plans with young people and their families Coordinating care with internal and external stakeholders Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and reporting requirements Participating in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical review Supporting a recovery-oriented, youth-friendly and culturally safe service This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a collaborative team that values innovation, professional development and positive outcomes for young people.
About You We're looking for an experienced clinician who is passionate about youth mental health and enjoys working within a multidisciplinary environment.
You'll bring:
Experience providing evidence-based mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions Confidence working with young people experiencing a range of mental health presentations Solid risk assessment and clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities High-quality clinical documentation and time management skills A collaborative approach and commitment to culturally safe practice Flexibility and resilience to work within a regional community Essential Qualifications Psychologists Current unrestricted General Registration with AHPRA Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Medicare Provider Number Clinical endorsement (or working towards endorsement) is highly regarded Accredited Mental Health Social Workers Bachelor degree or higher in Social Work Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) status Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Medicare Provider Number Mental Health Social Workers Bachelor degree or higher in Social Work Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Mandatory Requirements Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain) National Police Check Willingness to travel, including overnight stays in remote communities Ability to travel by road and small aircraft when required Why Apply?
