We have partnered with a boutique specialist construction law firm to appoint a Special Counsel to join its growing practice.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior construction lawyer seeking a leadership role within a highly regarded firm known for delivering commercially focused advice across the project lifecycle.
In this role, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the firm's legal, commercial, financial, and risk management objectives.
Working closely with the Managing Director, CEO, CFOO, and broader leadership team, you will: Lead and manage complex commercial and construction litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Provide strategic legal advice to clients, including Principals, Head Contractors, and Subcontractors.
Oversee the financial and commercial performance of your practice area, including budgeting, billing, and achieving revenue targets.
Mentor, coach, and develop lawyers and support staff to build a high-performing team.
Identify new business opportunities and actively contribute to the growth of the firm's practice areas and brand.
Represent clients in court proceedings, brief Counsel, and manage external experts and consultants.
Champion continuous improvement and support the implementation of firm-wide initiatives and strategic projects.
Who Are We Looking For?
An accomplished legal skilled with a strong background in commercial and construction litigation and a passion for leadership, business growth, and client excellence.
To be successful in this role, you will have:



A minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience .
Strong experience in commercial and construction litigation gained within private practice and/or an in-house environment.
Proven expertise acting for Principals, Head Contractors, and Subcontractors .
A strong commercial mindset with experience managing financial performance, billing, and business development activities.
