Leading company in its field Based in Brisbane (Hybrid Work Arrangement) 6 Months initial assignment with potential to extend upto 2 years Green Light Australia are partnering with a leading company to engage GRC consultant for supporting and enhancing the organization's Governance, Risk, and Compliance framework.
The role involves identifying and assessing risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing controls, and driving governance best practices across business and technology functions.
Key Responsibilities: Governance Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
Ensure alignment of business processes with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate governance committees and stakeholder meetings.
Risk Management Conduct enterprise and operational risk assessments.
Identify, evaluate, and document risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Maintain risk registers and track remediation activities.
Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and report risk posture to management.
Compliance Management Monitor compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry requirements.
Perform compliance assessments and gap analyses.
Support internal and external audits, including remediation of audit findings.
Ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO *****, NIST, COBIT, SOC 2, GDPR, APRA CPS 234, PCI-DSS, and other relevant standards.
Control Testing Assurance Design and evaluate control effectiveness.
Conduct control testing and compliance reviews.
Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
Track and verify closure of identified issues.
Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with business, IT, security, legal, and audit teams.
Provide risk and compliance advisory services to projects and business initiatives.
Deliver awareness sessions and training on GRC-related topics.
Reporting Documentation Prepare risk, compliance, and audit reports for senior management.
Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor GRC performance.
Maintain policies, procedures, control documentation, and evidence repositories.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or related field.
Experience in Governance, Risk Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Information Security.
Robust understanding of risk management methodologies and compliance frameworks.
Experience supporting audits and regulatory assessments.
