About the role We are seeking experienced program management and procurement professionals at the APS6 level to be engaged as a Senior Program Officer with our Commonwealth Government client in Canberra, ACT .
The successful candidate will support the establishment of a strategic procurement initiative, with a focus on program/project management, stakeholder coordination and process development.
An initial 6-month labour hire contract is on offer, with the possibility of an extension.
Please note: the successful candidate must be an Australian citizen with an existing NV1 security clearance, or higher.
Duties: Maintain project schedules and work plans for procurement activities.
Track key milestones, deliverables and dependencies across the procurement process.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholder engagement, including scheduling meetings, managing communications, and ensuring timely follow-up.
Monitor risks and issues, escalating as required and contributing to mitigation strategies.
Conduct due diligence assessments and facilitate approval processes.
Requisite skills/experience:



Proven ability to manage schedules, track milestones, and coordinate across multiple workstreams.
Solid communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to lead system/process improvements and update guidance materials.
High-level attention to detail.
Familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (desirable).
