High-impact projects with real business outcomes Become part of a fast-growing business Hybrid work: 3 days CBD office / 2 days from home About the Role We are seeking an experienced BI Developer (Data Engineer) to support a major data and analytics project.
In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and optimising scalable data pipelines, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of data across the organisation.
Working with cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake and supporting reporting environments in Power BI, you will help transform raw data into high-quality, business-ready insights that drive decision-making.
In this role you report directly to the Head of Data and you will instrumental in some of the key decision making contributions.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain productive and scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting.
Write and optimise SQL queries for high-performing data processing and retrieval.
Integrate and transform data from multiple sources using ETL frameworks and tools.
Support and maintain cloud data warehouse infrastructure, including Snowflake.
Partner with analysts and BI developers to enable robust Power BI reporting solutions.
Ensure data accuracy, quality, and governance across all stages of the pipeline.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
About You To succeed in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise and business acumen.
Essential skills include: Excellent data modelling skills and proven ability to build data warehouses according to the Kimball stars and dimension principles.
Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale data queries.
Proven experience in data pipeline development, data transformation, and integration.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud platforms.
Solid understanding of data modelling and performance optimisation.
Experience supporting Power BI reporting environments.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable skills: Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.
Experience in data visualisation and advanced BI modelling.
