About the role The CT In Charge will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CT modality within the Mater Hospital Springfield Team.
You will work alongside a dedicated, friendly, highly skilled team of radiologists, technical and administrative professionals who are committed to providing the best service to our patients and referrers.
In this role, you will also provide valuable support and training to staff in the Brisbane Region while also assisting with staffing matters.
You will have the opportunity to foster strong team cohesion and promote positive team morale, ensuring open lines of communication with other leaders in the Brisbane region.
Your contribution across all practices in the region will be essential to the roles success.




Key Accountabilities Provide expert clinical advice to patients, healthcare professionals, and work collaboratively with the Mater Springfield leadership team.
Provide authoritative counsel, in matters relating to site specific service delivery for the modality to the Chief Radiographer and Managing Radiologist Actively lead change management processes and provide specialist level clinical advice in the development of company-wide standards and protocols Oversee the training, development, and performance appraisal of staff within your modality.
Maintain expert clinical knowledge through ongoing professional development and training.
Demonstrate responsibility, accountability and initiative across all aspects of clinical practice.
Initiate and lead service improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency and quality of care.
Ensure compliance with Queensland X-ray quality and safety standards in all clinical practices, promoting a safe work environment and liaising with equipment suppliers for maintenance.
Supervise and mentor students and less experienced Radiographers, fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture that aligns with the Sonic Core Values.
About you Advanced level clinical skills in general radiography and CT, including general, angiographic, cardiac and interventional CT.

Canon and/or Philips CT experience preferable Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients, referring doctors and other members of the medical imaging team.
Ongoing commitment to skill development also encompassing personal and professional growth, for yourself and the team.
Able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience, and coaching those around you to do the same.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across all Toowoomba region practices.
Full AHPRA registration and QLD Radiation Use Licence is required.
