We are looking for qualified Vehicle Spray Painters who are interested in working at our clients in Gladstone, Central Queensland.
Busy workshop in town.
Full Time Positions Immediate start.
Your responsibilities will include Prepare vehicles vessel surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, or blasting to remove rust, old paint and contaminants; and masking areas that need protection.
Apply primers and paints including sealers and marine-grade coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
Mix paints and solvents accurately according to manufacturer guidelines and environmental conditions.
Apply protective coatings such as anti-corrosive and anti-fouling paints to safeguard against saltwater, UV radiation and marine growth.
Inspect painted surfaces for defects, perform touch-ups and ensure smooth, durable finishes.
Maintain painting equipment including spray guns, compressors and ventilation systems.
Follow safety protocols when working in confined spaces, at heights, or with hazardous chemicals.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards for marine coatings.
Contribute to vehicle/vessel aesthetics, performance and longevity through high-quality finishing.




Fill dents with plastic fillers and file, grind and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
Fit repaired panels on vessel frameworks and re-fit body hardware such as door locks, trims and steering wheels.
Perform major repairs and paint work with positive productivity.
Prepare panels for paint including sanding, blowing off and masking up vehicles.
Trade qualification required; experience with water-based paint is an advantage.
Work independently on prestige and late model vehicles/vessels Sand surfaces by hand and with power sanders to produce smooth and even finishes.
Apply finer details including decals and custom lettering.
The ideal candidate will have: At least 1 year full time experience within the vehicle painting industry or marine industry Hold industry relevant trade qualification in vehicle painting or equivalent Experience panel spray painting Experience with power tools A License/reliable vehicle Pay rate $75,000-$95,000 per annum plus superannuation depending on experience.
